Dr Mensah expressed concern that many ministers, except for with oversight on finance, roads, and the Governor of the Bank of Ghana, appear to have relaxed their efforts after the initial economic gains. He further noted that periodic changes in leadership could reinvigorate ministries that might have slowed in executing their mandate. He said such adjustments were essential to maintaining dynamism within the public sector and preventing institutional complacency and further underscored the necessity for deliberate policy interventions to create an enabling environment in which businesses could operate efficiently and at reduced cost. He noted that the state could not single-handedly provide employment opportunities for the entire population; therefore, fostering private sector growth remained critical to job creation and economic expansion.
