Kota’s platform is integrated with health insurance, life insurance and pension providers such as Irish Life and Allianz and works with common HR tools like Personio, Bamboo HR and Workday. An earlier funding round closed in September 2022 after raising €2.7m from Irish firm Frontline Ventures and European investment firm Northzone. Venture capital investment into Ireland is bucking a global retreat this year, according to the most recent figures compiled by the Irish Venture Capital Association, although more capital intensive sectors including energy have been taking a significant share of funding. In total, €963m was raised by Irish tech and ‘clean tech’ firms, and other tech firms headquartered on the island of Ireland in the first six months of 2023.
