As far as endorsements and advertisements are concerned, cricketers are as much in demand as some of the top actors in the Indian film industry. Tendulkar at one point in his career was the most bankable star for brands thanks to his god-like status in the country. Former India captain Sourav Ganguly was also close on Tendulkar's heels and was a hot-property on Indian television. Tendulkar and Ganguly have been a part of some of the most memorable advertisements ever seen on Indian television. Nowadays it's Kohli and Dhoni who have taken over from the veterans and have even better acting skills than their predecessors.
