A New Zealand university has again scored success in the big Shell Eco-marathon Asia, where futuristic cars built by student teams compete to be the most energy efficient. The engine powered the team's UrbanConcept car, which competed in this year's event in Singapore. This is the second time the university has won an off-track award at the big event. A Chinese team won the battery electric competition with 511 km/kWh, while a Singaporean team achieved 404.3 km/m3 in the hydrogen competition.
