Kiwi pacing hero Lazarus wins Inter Dominion final in PerthJOSEPH JOHNSON/STUFF Two-time New Zealand Trotting Cup winner Lazarus has won the Inter Dominion final. Lazarus grabbed the brass ring and asserted himself as Australasia's best pacer with a brilliant win in Friday night's A$1.1 Million (NZ$1.2 million) Inter Dominion Grand Final at Gloucester Park in Perth. It was the second straight victory in the time-honoured feature for Mark Purdon, who co-trained (with Natalie Rasmussen) and drove Smolda to win last year's race. Lazarus was a better-than-even money favourite and justified the weight of support with a dominant victory from the parked position.
