Kisumu MCAs have been accused of failing to help opposition leader Raila Odinga mobilise residents to register as voters. Youths stormed the county assembly on Thursday demanding to know why their elected leaders were boycotting the mobilisation of locals in Mass Voter Registration. "If Raila can move around across the counties to mobilise residents yet some of our elected leaders are sleeping, we will not accept this," said Kisumu Bus Park association chair Okak Owiny. He said elected leaders in Kisumu are only concerned with going for trips instead of ensuring residents apply for ID cards and register to vote in the August 8 polls.
