Kisii University scouts emerged the winners in both male and female categories of their section competitions. The Scouts Unit also represented Kenya twice in East Africa Scouts competition both in Rwanda and in Kenya scooping the title twice and becoming the epitome of scouting in institutions of higher learning. Peace initiatives, community service, disaster management, countering violent extremism and mentoring the youth are sourjorns that the movement at Kisii University hold dear and they passionately wish other scouts would adopt the same. The scouts have being in the frontline of activities that have positively impacted on the society. Francis Kerongo, Mr. Edgar Marumbu and Mr. Paul Wachiuri happy and proud of the achievements of their scouts, reminded the scouts fraternity that scouting is not just about competitions but making a real difference in the world.
