The home made a mess of a relatively easy run chase and lost by four runs against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Chasing a moderate KXIP score of 143 for eight, DareDevils lost their way early in their innings. No denying credit to the DareDevils bowlers, especially Liam Plunkett, but KXIP were poor in their approach. The hero of DareDevils' bowling was Plunkett, a replacement for Kagiso Rabada at the start of the season. To speak of the KXIP batsmen, they in a way helped the DareDevils bowlers playing some erratic strokes.
