Advance bookings for Avengers: Infinity War, which releases on April 27, opened at noon on Sunday and the first shows across multiplexes were sold out by 4pm. The multiplex chain had sold approximately 45 per cent of its tickets for Friday on Sunday itself, a record of sorts. The story was the same at PVR, with about 70 per cent of tickets sold for the first weekend. Avengers: Infinity War is not just a movie for us, it's a festival that Marvel Cinematic Universe and comic book fans want to celebrate.
