A ceremony was held at the Ban Sobkhun highland agricultural development station in Tha Wang Pha district. Palakorn told the recipients that His Majesty was concerned about their welfare. The privy councillor also inspected the agricultural station, built in 2000 as an initiative of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit to restore denuded watershed forests. Farmland is provided for local people to cultivate rice in terraced fields so they have no need to encroach on forests.
