King Charles has been diagnosed with cancer and will be postponing public-facing duties, Buckingham Palace has said. Following his treatment for a benign prostate enlargement last week, doctors undertook separate tests which led to a 'form of cancer' being diagnosed, for which the monarch is currently undergoing treatment. King Charles chose to share his diagnosis to prevent speculation and 'assist public understanding for all those around the world who are affected by cancer'. The Palace has not specified the type of cancer, but said the King is 'wholly positive about his treatment'. He remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible.
