Kincardine hosts its first Indigenous Market in the Park

For the past two summers, many of these events have been cancelled because of pandemic restrictions. And that was when the idea of an Indigenous Market in the Park, began to come together. Hosted at Victoria Park in Kincardine, on Saugeen Ojibway Nation (SON) traditional territory, the market is scheduled to run on Saturday, Aug. 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. “We know our great community of Kincardine and surrounding area are excited to welcome this Indigenous Market in the Park as so many are wondering what Reconciliation looks like for them,” said Wolfe. “This will be a very relaxing day to spend walking through this market, sharing stories, connecting and learning together and supporting these Indigenous vendors,” said Wolfe.
