Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has slammed Cord over what he termed as violent behaviour and called on the country to respect the president. The governor further gave his stance by referring to Cord’s political rival President Uhuru Kenyatta as his close friend. "President Kenyatta and other elected leaders should not be abused or treated with contempt," said Kidero. This comes just two days before Cord’s Monday demo and such utterances will not be a welcome idea by the Cord faithfuls who expect loyalty and support from Kidero. Speaking at a funeral in Mutihi village, Kidero asked the public to be tolerant and respect the current government as their truly elected leaders.
