Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has paid tribute to late former MP Cyrus Jirongo with a bull bearing his name. In a video seen by The Star, Khalwale who was in his compound with a group of people had one of his staff members paint the bull with name ‘Jirongo’ before it was put inside a canter truck. “Leaving Malinya to Lumakanda to receive the body of our departed brother Cyrus Jirongo,” Khalwale captioned the video. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations said it commenced investigations into the circumstances surrounding the death of Jirongo. Preliminary investigations show the accident involved Jirongo's vehicle and a bus belonging to Climax Company Ltd.
