Kakamega senator Boni Khalwale has been arrested alongside two other youths in Kakamega as they led the anti-IEBC protests. "It is unacceptable and unfortunate for the Kenya Police to arrest Senator Khalwale for exercising his rights as enshrined in the constitution," Wetangula said. "Khalwale was trying to address the crowd when he was arrested on Monday", a witness told the Star. The IEBC anti-protests kicked off on Monday in major cities, including Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa .
