BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has condemned the police intervention at a meeting at Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President ASM Abdur Rob’s home. Police barged into Rob’s Uttara home during the meeting but were turned back after the host told them it was a social gathering. That’s why they are obstructing the political, social and religious organisations from holding not only the outdoor gatherings but the indoor ones,” Khaleda said in a statement on Saturday. She said police obstruction at Rob’s home proves that the state has become inhumane and anti-people. “Social crimes have been increased as the police were given license to oppress the opposition party,” Khaleda alleged.
