Kevin Yeung says 'Glory to Hong Kong' should not be sung at schools

Kevin Yeung says 'Glory to Hong Kong' should not be sung at schoolsSecretary for Education, Kevin Yeung Yun-hung, said in a radio program today that protest anthem "Glory to Hong Kong" is clearly a propaganda song and should not be sung at schools. But he said singing the song "Loving the Basic Law" is not a political act, and urged students to learn that abiding by the law belongs to rule of law education. Yeung had written a letter to school principals, demanding schools to explain to students that the national security law for Hong Kong will not affect Hong Kong people's rights and freedoms, and also ban students and teachers from participating in strikes against the legislation. Yeung said the referendum is meaningless and urged students not to waste time. He said the bureau is against bringing politics into schools.
