At least four Kericho MPs want the President and DP to allow them to defend their seats as independent candidates. A further split has emerged among allies of Ruto, with Mandago leading a new political axis in the North Rift. They termed North Rift politicians who visited Kericho last week hypocrites and political tourists out to interfere with county politics ahead of the election on August 8 by deciding who should be elected.
