Moroccan runners dominated the side competitions of the event. Rabat – Kenyan runners dominated 2019 Casablanca’s International Marathon, in both the men’s and women’s races. Kenyan athlete Sammy Kigen Korir won the men’s marathon, finishing the race in 2 h 08 min 32 sec. In the women’s marathon, Kenyan runner Lilian Jebiton won the race. Despite the Kenyan domination of the main event, Moroccan runners dominated the rest of the races.
