The meeting at State House is ahead of the State Visit by King Charles III. President Ruto said Kenya is honoured to be the chosen country by the King and Queen for their first visit to a Commonwealth nation. "Kenya is honoured that King Charles III and Queen Camilla have chosen our country for their first visit to a Commonwealth nation. King Charles III and Queen Camilla will from October 31 to November 3, 2023, be in Kenya for an official state visit. The King will be with President William Ruto while the Queen with First Lady Rachel Ruto.
