It was a lovers' day to remember for motorists in Bomet County after Administration Police officers showered them with gifts. The exercise, led by county AP Commandant Francis Kooli, saw several motorists plying various routes in Bomet given roses and bottles of mineral water. The rare gesture from men and women officers saw drivers, who are known to run away from police officers for fear of being arrested, hurry to receive the goodies. Several matatu drivers and owners of private vehicles plying the Narok-Bomet route received the gifts during the hour-long exercise. "We want to build a good relationship with the public and this will come in handy in ensuring that flow of information is smooth," said Mr Kooli.
