Kenya Premier league giants Gor Mahia were yesterday stopped from early premier league celebration after a 3-2 shock defeat by Kakamega Homeboys at Kasarani Complex stadium. The Green Army needed a win against Kakamega Homeboys to be declared Kenya Premier league for 2022-2023 Champions but all went sour. Gor were Shafik Kagimu scored a wonderful header after receiving a cross from Austin Odhiambo to hand Gor Mahia a lead in the 12 minute. Kakamega Homeboys never hesitated to fire back as Kevin Amwayi scored a wonderful goal amin the 56 minutes as an equalizer and later own securing another goal to make it 3-2. The defeat to Gor means they are still at the top of Kenya Premier league with 67 points ,with just one solid point ahead of second played Tusker.
