Kenyatta University Students Association (KUSA) President Were Were will be leading a candle vigil for the two students (Mary Wanjiru and Vinna Isoe). The students were part of a group that was travelling to Magena, Kisii, to attend a party they had nicknamed White Elephant. In her phone book, Mary is saved as Mary BFF (Best Friend Forever), with the last text reading June 30 10:55am. “We were to travel together to Kisii but that morning, I just changed my mind,” said Gichana, a close friend of Mary Wanjiru. Sagini was in constant communication with his two classmates all through the journey, courtesy of Doro-Hot whom he described as social and very friendly.
