Status quoThe former Prime Minister took issue with the conflicting positions taken by the President, Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery and Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet on CORD demonstrations. CORD leader Raila Odinga said they will hold their anti-IEBC demonstrations on Monday and Thursday as planned, unless Jubilee names its two nominees to meet those from the opposition. He also dismissed claims that the Wiper Party may be shortchanged at the negotiation table, saying he proposed Orengo and Esseli to represent CORD. The leadership also challenged Jubilee negotiators to thrash out grey areas before they embark on the proposed Parliamentary route.
