Nyeri governor Nderitu Gachagua on Wednesday vowed to stop a Sh75 million MCAs' health club project, terming it as "misuse of public funds". It is envisaged that the Nyeri county assembly health club will come with gym equipment, steam bath, massage parlour, swimming and sauna. Early this week, a section of MCAs from the country also opposed the health club project. "We shall not allow a health club with swimming pool [facilities]. Gachagua has been engaged in protracted disagreements with Nyeri country MCAs, and laughed off plans to impeach him saying he will fight both in and out of the county assembly.
