Kenwind to proceed with wind energy project

The judges (Alnasir Visram, Wanjiru Karanja and Daniel Musinga) dismissed an appeal by US-based company Cordison International, arguing that it lacked merit. As a result, on May 2017 Cordison filed an application against the agency and Lamu County government accusing them of favouring Kenwind Ltd in the allocation of land in Baharini Ward, Mpeketoni, to invest in wind energy. But Justice Oyola dismissed the application, indicating there was no evidence showing that the county and NLC acted illegally.
