Good morning: Alongside half-year results Tesco has announced that Dave Lewis is to step down as chief executive next summer. Ken Murphy, who is currently working as a consultant at Walgreens Boots Alliance, will replace him. Until last year Mr Murphy was president of global brands at Walgreens. “My decision to step down as group chief executive is a personal one,” Mr Lewis said. “I believe that the tenure of the chief executive should be a finite one and that now is the right time to pass the baton.
