The Duchess of Cambridge paid tribute to Princess Diana by donning the Lover's Knot headware. The dazzling piece of jewellery was on show at Buckingham Palace where members of the royal family were celebrating the annual white tie reception for the Diplomatic Corps. As well as the tiara, mother-of-three Kate wore a Nizam of Hyderabad necklace. The 37-year-old royal also wore the Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, which is a rank equivalent to a knight. In other royal news, it was reported today that the Queen gives a staggering 620 gifts to family and friends each Christmas.
