Kasoa Nyanyano fisherfolk, mongers unperturbed about Coronavirus

It still cannot be ascertained whether the defiance to the President’s directive is one born out of ignorance or a necessity to survive. GhanaWeb’s cameras captured some residents of Kasoa Nyanyano, a fishing community on Saturday going about business as usual with the sale of fish and other seafood at the beach. Aside the social distancing directive, President Akufo-Addo imposed a 14-day lockdown on Greater Accra and some parts of the Ashanti Region which took effect on March 30. When in town the advice is to make sure not to get too close to anyone as everyone is a potential Coronavirus case. Ghana’s Coronavirus case count has increased to 214 as at Sunday, April 5 with 5 deaths.
