Our cookbook of the week is The Prairie Table by Edmonton-based blogger Karlynn Johnston. It’s this spirit of conviviality that’s at the heart of her second cookbook, The Prairie Table (Appetite by Random House, 2019). “(Ukrainian food) can have a low-profile, especially outside of the Prairies. (When it comes to her sauerkraut and bacon pierogi recipe, hope for more filling than dough; Johnston swears by eating leftover filling with a poached egg on top.)
