The threats escalated until MacLeod was told in one email, “You’d better have bodyguards and home security for the rest of your life. She sent more than 100 emails between the time police first visited her home Feb. 13 to the time she was charged. Police told Reid to stop calling and emailing MacLeod, but according to Cunningham, “It didn’t stop.”The following day, Reid sent another series of emails referencing her visit with police. In emails through February, Reid calls MacLeod a “liar and a child abuser,” a villain, mocks her appearance and wishes for her death. I want to crush her cervical spine.”In one three-day span in late February, Reid sent 36 emails.
