Panatchakorn Phobanthit, chief of the Sai Yok National Park, said on Thursday the 26-year-old KNU soldier - identified only as Satu - was found at a makeshift hunting camp inside the park on Wednesday afternoon and was arrested. Panatchakorn said park officials and troops from the Army’s Lardya Taskforce in Fort Surasee found the camp during their patrol of the park at 1.15pm. He was arrested later and said that he was a KNU soldier. He said there had been two other KNU troops at the camp and they were hunting wild animals. Satu was charged with poaching and unlawful entry into the kingdom.
