CAIRO-13 February 2021: Al Ahly winger Mahmoud Kahraba said that Al Ahly players achieved their goal in the FIFA Club World Cup after winning the bronze medal. Al Ahly defeated Brazilian giants, Palmeiras, 3-2 on penalties in the FIFA Club World Cup third-place playoff to win the bronze medal for the second time in the club’s history. We faced difficult circumstances ahead of the bronze medal match as we missed many key players for suspension and we also missed Ali Maaloul for injury.” Kahraba told the club’s official website. Al Ahly became the first Arab and African club to reach the podium in the Club World Cup on two occasions as Al Ahly also won the bronze medal in 2006. Kahraba revealed that the club fans are always eager to win titles, adding that the players are doing their best effort to achieve the fans’ dreams.
