[Boniface Okendo, Standard]CS Kagwe on April 4, 2020, hit the international headlines when American media outlet Wall Street Journal hailed his management of the coronavirus interventions. "Kenya's unlikely coronavirus hero is Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe,” Sam Walker who authored the article published by the Wall Street Journal partly wrote. Governor Oparanya, who chairs the Council of Governors has also been at the forefront in crafting and reviewing coronavirus health safety protocols.
