KRSC to host Kahnawà:ke Recreation Summit(Kahnawake – 14, Ohiarí:ha/June, 2024) The Kahnawà:ke Recreation Steering Committee (KRSC) is cordially inviting the community to attend a Recreation Summit on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Between 5pm to 9pm, the event will be open to individuals to provide feedback on their own aspirations in the areas of sports, recreation, and leisure. Feedback received from the Summit will be used to develop the 10-year Recreation Master Plan, and to develop the feasibility study on a new or renovated Kahnawà:ke Youth Center (KYC) Facility. “It’s really important for the community to become involved at these very early planning stages,” said KRSC co-chair and Director of Sports and Recreation, Roiahtate Horn. We are going into this Summit with no set outcomes in mind, just a real and honest objective of finding out what the community wants,” added Kyle Zacharie, KYC Executive Director and KRSC co- chair.
