The call follows the incident that occurred few weeks ago concerning a ‘trotro’ driver and his mate who assaulted a police officer at Malam junction. The president also observed a similar incident where three police officers assaulted three Ghanaian Times staff including two journalists. President Akufo-Addo used the occasion to congratulate the police service for the excellent display they put up during the 6th March celebration in Tamale. Meanwhile, the President of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Affail Monney, also applauded the Ghana police for interdicting the three who brutalised the journalists.
