Photo: GettyWASHINGTON—Attorney General William Barr will ask a team inside the Justice Department to examine the origins of the counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign’s possible ties to Russia’s interference in the 2016 election, he told Congress on Wednesday. The issue has been a longstanding grievance among Republican lawmakers who allege law-enforcement officials and prosecutors abused their authority at the start of the investigation and may have harbored a political bias against then-candidate Donald Trump.
