Jurgen Klopp has admitted that a 'super difficult' campaign left its mark on the outgoing Liverpool boss after Newcastle United finished in the top four ahead of his side last season. Klopp stunned the football world on Friday after announcing that he will step down at the end of the season following more than eight years in charge. Liverpool may still be in the hunt for four trophies - the Reds are currently flying in top spot in the Premier League - but Klopp previously revealed that last season had given him a 'proper knock'. "A season starts and you plan pretty much the next season already," he told the club's website. "Then I started thinking about it and it started - it didn't start - but, of course, last season was a super difficult season.
