Newcastle United's Premier League rivals Liverpool have confirmed that manager Jurgen Klopp will leave the club at the end of the season in a statement that has caused shockwaves throughout football. With the Reds currently sitting top of the Premier League, the club confirmed that Klopp will be leaving following the conclusion of the current campaign. Last season saw Newcastle beat Liverpool to the final Champions League position in the Premier League table. The Magpies finished four points ahead of Klopp's side, condemning the German boss to a year in the Europa League in his final season. The manager's final Premier League game in charge of Liverpool will come at Anfield against Wolves on 19 May.
