Interpol Secretary General Jurgen Stock has said his organisation increased its support to Bangladesh for fighting militancy after last year’s Holey Artisan attack. The Interpol chief made the remark while addressing the inauguration ceremony of conference of Chiefs of Police at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka Sunday. Jurgen Stock also opined for using this platform to exchange information which, he believes, is a crucial tool to prevent regional and global militancy and terrorism. Home Minister Assaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the government of Bangladesh was currently showing zero tolerance towards militancy and terrorism. Representatives of organisations such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Facebook, the International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program, and Interpol Global Complex for Innovation will attend as well.
