Seventeen-year-old Junaid Khan was killed in a train allegedly over a minor fracas while he travelling from Delhi to Mathura with his brother.Junaid’s father, Jalaluddin, approached the top court, appealing the high court’s decision to deny a CBI probe. The case had triggered controversy over the Haryana state law officer advising the accused. Jalaluddin had also demanded security for his family members and prosecution witnesses in the case.On Monday, a bench comprising Justices Kurian Joseph and M Shantanagoudar stayed the ongoing trial in a Faridabad court and ordered the issue of notices. Senior advocate Indira Jaising had demanded a national policy for prevention of vigilantism.
