Jumilla Town Council begins to fight climate change at the local levelHave your say on the town’s action climate plan while it is still in the consultation phaseThe Department for the Environment in the northern Murcia town of Jumilla has drafted a climate action plan and is now in a public consultation phase to welcome local people’s opinions and feedback on the scheme. The aim is to achieve, in the words of the Town Hall itself, “a key instrument to combat climate change from the local level”. The PACES action plan is currently in a process of citizen participation. On January 16, 2024, the Local Environment Council was convened in Jumilla, where the agents involved in this matter participated and where they were presented with the draft of the PACES of Jumilla, which includes the suggestions made by all the participants. The local PACES in Jumilla is published on the notice board of the Town Council of Jumilla with an exhibition period of 15 working days, and so the final day will be Tuesday February 13.
