Five questions for Invercargill electorate candidates: Today is Joshua Gunn for the New Zealand First party. NZ First candidate Joshua Gunn has worked around the world in the aerospace industry and is now a small businessman in Southland. “Our economic recovery needs leadership from those who have experience in growing prosperity, not administering bureaucracy,’’ he says. In his late teens and early 20s the Christchurch-raised Gunn was an RNZAF technician and studied mechanical engineering at Auckland University of Technology. He set up a small aircraft maintenance business that Covid-19 has put into hibernation – but in the meantime there’s a small property portfolio in Invercargill to keep them busy.
