Ibrahimovic is recovering from a cruciate injury he sustained in April BRADLEY ORMESHER/THE TIMESJosé Mourinho has given the clearest indication yet that Zlatan Ibrahimovic will re-sign for Manchester United. The Swedish striker is recovering from the anterior and posterior cruciate ligament damage he suffered in United’s Europa League quarter-final win over Anderlecht in April. Ibrahimovic, 35, is undergoing his rehabilitation at United’s training base at Carrington even though the club released him from his contract at the end of last month. United staff have been impressed by the forward’s progress and the player himself is optimistic that he will be fully fit by the end of the year. And Mourinho hinted last night that he is banking on Ibrahimovic being part of his squad for the second half of the season.
