Uy rented a safety deposit box with box number 74 outside room 909 of Shangrila Hotel at the Fort located at 30th Street corner 5th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. The operation was conducted by the PDEA RO NCR Southern District Office led by Agent Joel D Villorente in coordination with the Taguig City Police Station. On May 21, 2019, Uy, 44, was arrested by PDEA and police authorities also at the Shangrila Hotel where some P8.5 million worth of ecstasy tablets and cocaine were seized. Anti-narcotic authorities were alerted by the Shangrila Hotel security personnel that led to Uy’s arrest.
