"The Johor police fight on illegal gambling is not something we began today. Yesterday, Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said that police were set to launch its biggest ever crackdown on illegal gambling nationwide. Noor Rashid said to ensure total success, an "illegal gambling action committee" had been formed. Meanwhile, Johor Criminal Investigation Department chief Senior Assistant Commissioner Azman Ayob said that police was putting a stop to illegal online gambling activities as well. During the same period, police seized 13,165 machines including computers, laptops and tablets in operations related to illegal online gambling activities.
