Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) has been diagnosed with a brain tumor, his office said Wednesday, throwing into doubt when and if he will return to Washington to resume his duties in the Senate. McCain, 80, has been away from the Senate this week, recovering from the surgery and undergoing tests. The entire Senate family’s prayers are with John, Cindy and his family, his staff, and the people of Arizona he represents so well. “John McCain has always been a warrior. It is the most common of all malignant brain tumors, and a tumor that more commonly occurs in older adults than younger people.
