Johannesburg raid reveals 90 Ethiopian nationals held forcefully


The South African Police Service (SAPS) Special Task Force Unit has rescued 90 undocumented Ethiopian nationals. The group was allegedly being held against their will in inhumane conditions, in Sunnydale Ridge, Johannesburg. Also read: ‘Brothers with an inseparable bond’: More on the teens shot in Lavender HillThe Special Task Force was tracing a victim of kidnapping for ransom, when the task force stumbled upon the undocumented nationals. The kidnapping victim, who prompted the initial search, was also found amongst the group of Ethiopian nationals. The Ethiopian nationals were all taken to hospital to receive medical attention.
