The co-creator of Scooby-Doo, Joe Ruby, has died, aged 87. Ruby died of natural causes in Westlake Village in California in the US, Variety reported. Hanna Barbera Scooby-Doo's co-creator Joe Ruby has died. Ruby, along with partner Ken Spears, created Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? Ruby began with Walt Disney Productions before he met his writing partner Ken Spears at Hanna-Barbera Productions.
