A statue of Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was bombed by miscreants in the port city of Gwadar. The statue was erected earlier this year at Marine Drive, a major thoroughfare of the developing city. Official sources said that the miscreants planted an explosive device under the statue and blew it up. “The statue of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was blown up using explosive device,” Dr Farhan Zahid, an official, stated and added that the statue was completely destroyed by the blast. Security was beefed up in the port city following the incident, with additional security personnel deployed at various points.
